About John Zlogar

John grew up in Pennsylvania.  He has degrees in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and Stanford University. His career focused on satellite communications, primarily for international markets, and he retired as a senior executive with a San Diego high tech company.

He heads the Johns Island Task Force, which brings together government officials, nonprofits, and residents to address land use issues facing the Sea Islands. John publishes The Johns Island Advocate newsletter that informs residents of the sea islands of issues that will impact them today and in the future.  He co-founded Rational Roads for Johns Island, an advocacy group that works to bring community-focused transportation infrastructure to the sea islands.
